Dylan Samuel Gold, age 9, of Cohasset, MA, tragically after an accident August 11 2013 in Port Clyde, Maine. He was born in Boston, MA. November 26 2003. Loved and was loved by his family, Dylan was a fiercely devoted big brother. He will be missed by many friends. Dylan was a frequently shoeless and shirtless constant seeker of the next adventure. He played Cohasset town soccer, lacrosse and running club, and enjoyed scootering, biking, scrambling and Frisbee. Dylan was a proud member of the Sailfish swim team and an avid skier. He conquered all the double-black diamonds runs at Sugarbush in his first season in the ski program there. A musical boy, he enjoyed playing guitar and piano and vocals. Dylan was homeschooled by his mother in recent years. He is survived by his brother Wyatt, his mother Allison (Moran) and father Howard Gold; aunts and uncles Lisa Gold and Joseph Koob; Terence (Terry) and Anne Moran; Reva (Gold) and Eric Fischman and many cousins near and far. Predeceased by grandparents Phyllis and Terrence (Ted) Moran and Susan and Ely Gold. A memorial service will be held at First Parish in Cohasset, 11AM on 10/26/13. Donations may be made in Dylans name to South Shore Conservatory or Vermont Adaptive. Donations are also being made to Maine LifeFlight, Camp Squanto at Pilgrim Pines Conference Center and St. George Maine Emergency Services. Dylan lived so much in his 9 years. His magnetic smile, his laughter that sounded like music, his sense of humor, his hugs, his boundless energy, his athleticism, his kindness, our beautiful boy lives on in our memories. To honor his life we remember just how he was and we carry on.
