Lorraine E. (Duncan) Miller age 83 of Bedford formerly of Cambridge passed away on Wed, Nov. 6, 2013 at Pine Knoll Nursing Center in Lexington. Born in Cambridge on February 5, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Marguerite (West) Duncan. Raised and educated in Cambridge, Lorraine graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. After residing in Cambridge for many years she moved in 1963 and settled in Bedford. Mrs. Miller worked for many years as a legal secretary at The Law Offices of George W. Spartichino and at Itek Corporation. She also worked as a local Real Estate Agent for Century 21 and Coldwell Banker. Mrs. Miller pursued many interests with excitement and tenacity including jewelry making, cooking, and bird watching. She welcomed and was adaptive to innovation and technological advances of all kinds, from numerous gadgets to cameras and computers. Mrs. Miller beta-tested the Polaroid camera and became an expert photographer. She appreciated cars and was proud to have been one of the first owners of the Volkswagen Bug. She also enjoyed metal detecting, and astrology. Her fascination with history drove her to conquer the task of researching and organizing her own familys history, eventually making a tremendous contribution to the Genealogical Society. She is survived by her sons, Jimi Two Feathers and wife Morwen of Concord and Carl Miller and his wife Laura of Bedford. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Monica Duchemin, Karla Barton, Daren Two Feathers, Rachel Miller, Elizabeth Miller and Kane Two Feathers as well as her sister, Marguerite (Babe) Duncan. Visiting Hours will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14 from 11:00 am | 1:00 pm in the Concord Funeral Home, 74 Belknap St., Concord. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm in Cambridge Cemetery, Coolidge Ave., Cambridge. Gifts in her name may be made to the N.E.
