Stefanie Patricia "Pat" (Guzewicz) Seiden Obituary
Stefanie Patricia Pat (Guzewicz) Seiden, a woman of strong faith, died peacefully on March 25, 2018 with her three children by her side in her residence at The Commons in Lincoln, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was 82. Pat was married to the late Stanley Seiden, who died in 1988. Born on July 15, 1935, Pat was raised in Southbridge, MA as the daughter of the late Adam and Stefanie Guzewicz. She earned her B.A. from Bryant University in Smithfield, RI. Shortly after completing college, she moved to New York City to follow in her mothers footsteps by pursuing a career in retail. She happened to meet Stan while working at Bloomingdales, which was the start of a long and loving relationship. In addition to New York, she and Stan lived in many other places during their marriage, including St. Louis, Minneapolis, Pittsburgh, and Chicago. Following Stans death, she relocated to Concord and spent thirty years on South Meadow Ridge. A devout catholic, Pat was a faithful parishioner and volunteer with Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in West Concord, and later, Holy Family Parish in Concord Center. She devoted many Thursdays to assisting in the church office for over twenty years, served as a Eucharistic Minister, and aided in the churchs homebound ministry program. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Lazarus House in Lawrence and was former President for the Womens Auxiliary of the . Pat enjoy-ed extensive travelling throughout her life and loved golfing. She will be dearly remembered as a devoted mother and a loving grandmother. Her life and memory will be cherished by her children, Dr. Michael Seiden and his wife Dr. Paula Ryan of The Woodlands, TX, Victoria Gonin and her husband Xavier of Hanover, NH, and Adam Seiden and his wife Christine of Darien, CT, her grandchildren, Stanley (29), Benjamin (28), Stephanie (26), Jonathan (24), Sebastian (21), William (14), Caleb (12), Margot (11), and Scooter (8), one brother, Paul Guzewicz and his wife Joyce of E. Douglas, MA, and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Family and friends will gather for her funeral Mass on Thursday, April 12th at 11 am in Holy Family Parish, 12 Monument Square, Concord Center with a reception immediately following. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to (www.cancer.org) or to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org).
