Susan W. Noble Obituary
Susan Weare Noble (Sukie) of Sandown, NH died July 2, 2018 after a period of declining health. Sukie was born in Boston, MA February 19, 1941, the daughter of the late Susan Means and Charles L. J. Noble. She grew up in Concord, MA, attended Concord Academy, and graduated from Concord High School. She received a B.S. in Physical Education from Bouve-Boston School / Tufts University and M.A. from the University of North Carolina. Sukies career included teaching secondary and college womens physical education, Director of Trinity House Camp in Atkinson, NH, and working for the USPS. Her true passion was her dogs. At a young age, she began following in the footsteps of her parents who founded Robinsbrook Kennels and raised and showed poodles. Sukies interest in Labrador Retrievers began when she purchased her first Lab while in graduate school. She went on to raise and compete with many of her Norland Kennels dogs in Breed and Hunt competition. She and Doris Aylward were co-founders of the Labrador Retriever Club of Greater Boston in 1974, She was a member of the Colonial Field Trial Club and a staunch supporter of the Labrador Retriever Rescue, Inc., which serves all New England. Sukie is survived by her daughter, Sharon Randle of Malden, MA; sister Eleanor Noble Linton (Noni), Charlton, MA, brother Charles L. Noble, Newport News, VA; nieces Jennifer T. Noble-Treacy and Christopher, VA, Elizabeth L. Thompson, VA, Caroline N. Ahl and David, NY; and nephew George W. Thompson and Jennifer, VA; her great-nieces and nephews Connor, Hannah and Hagan Treacy, Williston and George Thompson, William and Carleigh Ahl; and her two beloved Labs, Ticket and Stout; and numerous friends.
