Sylvia was the youngest of her siblings. She married the late John Kennedy on September 8, 1968. Loved by all, she had many careers throughout her life. Sylvia danced in the Radio City Rockettes as well as the Boston Lyric Opera. She was also a dance instructor at her own studio. Later she worked as a General Supervisor with the Somerville Recreation Commission. Very active in her community, Sylvia was a member of the Lincoln Garden Club and served as President for a time. Her floral designs were shown at the Boston Flower Show and Art in Bloom at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. In her church she served as wedding coordinator. For years she operated her own floral business called Fairytale Weddings. Most recently, Sylvia served as sacristan at St Josephs Church in Lincoln. One of her proudest achievements was being awarded the Bishop Cheverus Award Medal from Cardinal Sean OMalley for outstanding service to her local church. She is survived by her sister Josephine Zavarella of North Reading, her daughter, Christine Fletcher and son-in-law Brooke Fletcher of Watertown, her sister- in-law, Patricia Pelosi of Lynn, many nieces and nephews, and close friends.
