Mary T. O'Malley Obituary
Mary T. (Lawton) OMalley, 86, passed away on August 22, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Frederick H. and Christina T. (Twohig) Lawton and the devoted wife of Peter J. OMalley Jr. of Concord. She was the beloved mother of Peter C. OMalley of Santa Cruz, CA, Michael R. OMalley and his wife Sharlet Trilling of Arlington, MA, Timothy J. OMalley and his wife Ani T. OMalley of Arlington, MA, Naureen McMillan of Los Angeles, CA. and the mother of the late Thomas E. OMalley. She was the loving grandmother of Eric T. OMalley, Collin OMalley and Niall OMalley and loving mother-in-law of the late William McMillan of Los Angeles, CA. She was the loving sister of Marguerite (Lawton) Doucet Ofria of N. Chelmsford, and Richard Lawton of Framingham and sister of the late Judge James R. Lawton, Frederick Lawton, Fr. Thomas Lawton, CSC and Sheila W. (Lawton) Stewart. Mary also leaves many nieces and nephews. Mary is fondly remembered for her loving dedication to her family. Mary and Peter moved to Concord, MA in 1958 where they raised their family of 4 sons and 1 daughter. She was an RN trained at St. Elizabeths Hospital and worked as a psychiatric nurse at MacLeans Hospital for many years. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzle solver. She was a volunteer at Willard Elementary School. Mary also loved sports and took great pride and joy in watching her children and grand-children participate in track meets, hockey games, soccer games and lacrosse games. Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord, MA will be held on Sunday, August 24th from 2-5 pm. All are welcome. Funeral will be held on Monday, August 25th at 9am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord at 10 am. Burial will be in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Concord. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Marys memory to the Alzheimers Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001. Arrangements are under the care of Susan M.
