Mrs. Florence (Hanslam) Cole 93, beloved wife of the late John A. C. Cole, died Friday, May 23rd, 2014 at Putnam Farm in Danvers. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Florence (Newman) Haslam. She was raised and educated in Westport, Ct. She was a graduate of the North Field Mount Hermon School, Barnard College and Katherine Gibbs School. A loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Florence was dedicated to her family. She was a long time member of the Congregational Church of Topsfield. Active in church circles she truly enjoyed singing and was a member of the Church choir at the Congregational Church of Norwalk, Ct and the Choir at Congregational Church of Topsfield. Classical music was her favorite and was often playing in her home as she was singing along. Her love and dedication for her family was her hallmark and her memory will be forever treasured. The Cole family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the staff at Putnam Farm, Care Dimensions and Visiting Angles for their devoted care and the kindness she received during the last years of her life. Your compassion and care allowed Florence to live her last days with dignity and grace and for that we are forever grateful. Florence is survived by her loving daughters, Frances Cole Sculley and her husband Richard J. of Rowley and Abigail Cole of Topsfield, her grandchildren, Daniel Cole Benedix of Washington D.C., Brian James Sculley of Rowley and Erin Aileen Sculley of Middletown, Ct, her son-in-law David Benedix and several nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial Service which will be held in the Congregational Church of Topsfield, East Common St., Topsfield, Sunday June 8th, at 12 P.M.
