Born in Flagstaff, Arizona on January 5, 1931, she was the daughter of Juan and Jacinta (Ibarrola) Garrido. She was a graduate of Flagstaff High School and continued her education at Northern Arizona University. She worked at the U.S. Army's Navajo Ordinance Depot where she met her husband. A longtime Danvers resident, she was a communicant of Saint Richard Church, where she was a dedicated volunteer both in the parish and at St. Mary of the Annunciation School. She was a member of the Fr. TAD Bowling League, a volunteer in the fight against breast cancer, and a proud member of Red Sox Nation. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their many school and extracurricular activities. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Maryanne Roberts and her husband George of PA, Sandra Kowalski of AZ, and Andrew Kowalski and his wife Rosa of Danvers; four grandchildren, Christine Roberts and Stephanie, Katherine, and Joseph Kowalski; a sister, Gloria Maxwell of AZ; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 9AM in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers.
