Erik Lodding Obituary

Erik W Lodding 33 of Natick formerly of Sherborn died unexpectedly Friday January 29 2010 at the Metro West Medical Center in Natick. Born in Newton, he was the beloved son of David W and Carole (Rudge) Lodding of Natick and formerly of Sherborn. Erik worked as an attorney in Boston. He was registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office and was also a member of the Utah State Bar. He had previously worked for the Securities and Exchange Commission in Salt Lake City UT. He enjoyed downhill and waterskiing, mountain and road biking, golf, the Boston Red Sox, and volunteering at the Medfield Public Library. Erik received his Law Degree from the University of Utah in 2003, and graduated from Colorado College in 1998 with a major in chemistry. He attended the Sherborn school system and graduated from Dover Sherborn High School in 1994. Erik was known for his great sense of humor which he readily shared with friends and family who loved and cherished him. In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother Jeffrey W Lodding and his wife Lynn of Manchester NH, one sister Cynthia C Lodding of Portland OR, his grandparents Marjorie W Lodding of Worcester, A. Eleanor and Sidney V Rudge of Worcester, nephew Nicholas Lodding, his maternal uncles Donald Rudge and his wife Pamela of Worcester and Paul Rudge and his wife Ann of Salt Lake City UT. He was predeceased by his grandfather Woodrow C Lodding and his uncle Frederick W Lodding. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the Pilgrim Church in Sherborn (25 South Main Street RT 27). Visiting hours will be in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common, on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Eriks name to: The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 3803 North Fairfax Drive Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203, or online at www.nami.org.

Mr & Mrs. Lodding, Jeff and Cynthia I know word could never totaly heal you heavy hearts at this time but I just wanted to let you all know that all of you are in my prayers.
