Russell A. "Buzz" Doyle, of Duxbury, passed away July 5, 2012 at Jordan Hospital after a long battle with Alzheimers. He was 76 years old. Russ moved to Duxbury in 1952 and was a graduate of the class of 1954. He was the son of the late Russell L. and Doris K. Doyle. Brother of the late Diane K. Snider and Denise R. Merry and survived by Darlene S. Hiller, all of Spring Hill, FL. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Penelope D. "Penny" (Whitney) Doyle. Father of Steven L. Doyle and his wife Jennifer of Duxbury and the late Garry A. Doyle. Grandfather of Leah Santos Doyle, Daniel Doyle, and Matthew Doyle, and great-grandfather of Gabrielle Santos. Russ is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved bluegrass music, and camping. After graduation from Duxbury High Russ enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard and served four years during the Korean conflict. "Bampy" loved his family, especially his three grandchildren and great-grandaughter. Visiting hours were held Tuesday, July 10 from 4-8 p.m. at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St., (Rte. 106), Kingston. A funeral service was held at the funeral home Wednesday, July 11 at 10 a.m. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Plympton. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to:
