Elizabeth Mae Dickey, 80, died Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013 at Cape Cod Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard James Dickey of Wellfleet. She and Richard married in 1950 and were together for 53 years. She was the daughter of the late Edith (Joseph) Lema. She was born Nov. 2, 1932, and raised in Provincetown and was especially close to her grandparents Emanuel and Nellie Joseph of Provincetown. She worked in the restaurant business for many years, ultimately running and operating Betty Dickeys Diner in North Truro, and later in South Wellfleet, alongside her husband. She also worked for many years at the Cape End Manor. She touched many lives, had a great sense of humor and a remarkable memory. She will be remembered for her zest for life, feisty personality and her love for family and friends. She is survived by her aunt Hellen Peters, sister Sharon Stewart, sister Jane Lavallee and many cousins. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, many great-nieces and nephews and two great-great-nephews. She was also the sister of the late Janice Doyle. Services will be held at the Congregational Church in Wellfleet at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, in the St. Peters Catholic Cemetery in Provincetown .
