Marcia Cass Herbert (Marcy) 56, died unexpectedly on Saturday, March 1st, 2014 (and in a strange twist of fate the same day as her father), at Cape Cod Hospital. Marcy was born April, 22 1957 to Dr. Edward William Herbert II and Patricia Loretta Coyle Herbert in Waterbury, Ct and raised in many places, including Waterbury Ct., Beverly, Ma., Syracuse, NY., Germany, Puerto Rico and Steubenville Oh. She attended Heidelberg High School in Germany for 3 years and graduated From Ramey AFB High School in Puerto Rico in 1975. She was a graduate of Ohio Valley Nursing School in 1979 where she received her RN. She was psychiatric nurse for many years at Riverside Hospital in Columbus Ohio, a medical insurance agent for UBS and also as a hospice nurse in Naples Florida. In 2007 she moved to Brewster Ma., in order to take care of her elderly parents. Marcy was able to donate many of her organs as was her wish and surely this act has saved many lives. Marcy was the loving mother of two lovely daughters; Sara and her husband Matt who are parents to her grandson Brenton. Emily and her fianc Greg. She was also a sister to Ned (Sandy) of Norfolk, VA., Kim (Tip) Galer of Midway, UT, Tara (Ashley) Cousins of Groton, MA., Rick (Verla) of Tucson, AZ., Justin (Janice) of Abilene ,TX., Kristin (Michael) Folcik of Naples, Fla., Brendan (Ann) of Barnstable, MA., Kyle (Paige) of Salt Lake City, UT. And Josh (Liz) of Darien, CT. She also leaves behind her Uncle Bill (Carol) of Wilmington, VT., 5 cousins Crista, Keith, Eileen, Kevin and Tim and 24 nieces and nephews. Marcy was a nurturer at heart. Her whole family was extremely important to her but, her biggest priorities were her daughters and her grandson. She was a wonderful caregiver to her parents when they needed her most at the end of their lives. Marcy was one of those people who when they enter a room it lights up. She was a lot of fun and always loving and caring. An animal lover she always had pets. One of her favorite things to do walk the beach with dog Kody. She will forever be remembered as Mommy, Mom, and Grammi, to us brothers and sisters Marc and in lighter moments, Oh Marcia Marcia Marcia If anyone would like to make a donation as a remembrance of Marcy.
