Kristen J. Gilson, 24, a lifelong resident of Easton died unexpectedly Friday, March 9, 2012, in Easton. Born in Weymouth, Dec. 22, 1987, a daughter of Janis (Peterson) Gilson of Easton and the late Richard C. Gilson, she was raised in Easton and was a 2006 graduate of Oliver Ames High School. Kristen continued her education at Westfield State College earning a bachelor's degree with a concentration in Business and Marketing. She was employed in the retail industry and worked for Tiffany & Co. at Natick Collections. Some of Kristens favorite pastimes were babysitting for Easton families and visiting Cape Cod. Her hobbies and interests included fashion, traveling, skiing and art. She also enjoyed making floral arrangements from wild flowers and deeply loved her cats, Biatta, Rascal and Cinnamon. In addition to her mother Janis, she is survived by her sister, Kara Gilson of Easton. She also has a sister, Cheryl Murray of Florida; a brother, Paul Gilson of Florida; her paternal grandmother, Letha Gilson of West Bridgewater; her Godfather, Eddie Woronicz of Inverness, Ill.; her best friend, Ashley Willoughby of Easton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also the maternal granddaughter of the late Arthur J.L. and Josephine (Asack) Peterson; maternal granddaughter of the late Robert Gilson; and Godchild of the late Karen Woronicz. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial Mass Saturday, March 17, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase St., Easton.
