Donna J. (Desmond) Gaeta, 52, of Rockland, formerly of Natick, died unexpectedly Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was the wife of Edward L. Gaeta for 23 years. Born in Boston on October 20, 1960, a daughter of the late Daniel J. and June A. (Gokey) Desmond, she was raised in Brighton and was a graduate of the Boston Public Schools. Donna was employed as a search engine optimizer for Instrumentation Laboratories of Watertown and was later employed by the federal governments Army Research Center in Natick as a medical writer. A resident of Rockland for the past 14 years, Donna enjoyed sewing, cooking, social networking and business adventures. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons, Edward J. Gaeta of Watertown and Eric J. Gaeta of Rockland; her siblings, Bridget Desmond of Dorchester, Janet Russo of Newton, Judy Martis of Whitman, and Dennis Desmond of Newton. She was also the sister of the late Daniel Desmond and William Billy Desmond.
