Linda N. Hallett, 61, of Easton, formerly of Walpole, died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, March 20, 2014. She was the wife of the late Leonard Zimmerman. Born in Norwood on May 1, 1952, a daughter of Nancy M. (French) Hallett of Easton and the late Joseph W. Hallett, she was raised in Easton and was a 1970 graduate of Oliver Ames High School. Linda began working as a secretary and bookkeeper and for the past 17 years she was employed as an Inn Keeper for Boston View Motel of Walpole. Linda was kind, thoughtful and generous to all who knew her and was devoted to family. A nature enthusiast, she took great pleasure in spending time at Borderland State Park and the NRT Sheep Pasture of Easton. She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, bird watching and the color purple was her favorite. In addition to her mother Nancy, she is survived by a brother, David Hallett of Toledo, Ohio; two sisters, Dorothy Cummings of Easton and Gail Casey of Easton; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
