Marlene Gail (Derosier) Vargas, 62, of Easton, formerly of Brockton, died Feb. 13, 2014. A 1969 graduate of Brockton High School, she worked as a secretary for a Brockton insurance agency and later on worked for many years as a manager at various local retail shops. A hard worker and strong willed woman, she loved the ocean, baking, crafts, and most of all, her children and grandchildren. Marlene was the daughter of the late Arthur E. Derosier and Genevieve C. (Stulpin) (Derosier) Jeremiah; former wife of Jesus Vargas for 31 years; beloved mother of David M. Vargas, Michael Vargas and Jennifer G. Vargas, all of Brockton, and the late Arthur E. Vargas; loving grandmother of David M. Vargas Jr. and Hailey Amaral; dear sister of Valerie Wood and her husband Francis of No. Easton and Joan Farinella and her husband James of Brockton; aunt of Laura Weisner, Alex MacDonald and Michele Muniz; and a great-aunt of Ralphie Muniz.
