Lorraine M. (Corbett) Edwards, 85, of Easton, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Alvin W. Edwards. Born in Boston on Nov. 9, 1928, a daughter of the late Philip J. and Mary C. (McCarthy) Corbett, she was raised in Boston and was a graduate of the Boston Public Schools. A homemaker devoted to her family she was a resident of Easton for the past 15 years, previously residing in Randolph where she was a member of the Randolph VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Lorraine is survived by a son, Wayne Edwards and his wife Theresa (Hilliard) of Easton; and three grandchildren, Brendan Edwards, Brianna Edwards and Connor Edwards all of Easton. She was also the sister of the late Edward Corbett. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend the funeral from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138), Easton, on Monday, March 10, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in the Holy Cross Church, Easton, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 p.m. Visiting hours was on Sunday, March 9, from 2 - 5 p.m. Due to floral restrictions at the cemetery donations in Lorraines memory may be sent to My Brothers Keeper, PO Box 338, Easton, MA. 02356.
