Comendul, Constance - Franklin  
Constance A. (Grecho) Comendul, 66, a longtime Franklin resident, died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Charlwell House in Norwood. She was the former wife of the late Edward A. Comendul. Born in Norwood, March 11, 1948 a daughter of the late Paul P. and Mary A. (Walsh) Grecho, she was raised in Walpole and was a 1966 graduate of Walpole High School. She was a retired physicians assistant, having worked in the office of Dr. Eric Aker of Norwood. She enjoyed doing volunteer work, and spending time with family. She is survived by her son, Paul P. Comendul and his wife Tara of Norfolk, a brother Paul Grecho of Plainville, a sister Mary Mimi Cusack of Falmouth and 3 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass of Saturday, Nov. 15th at 10am in St. Marys Church, 1 Church Sq., Franklin, Internment is private. There are no calling hours. Donations in her memory sent to the Cardiac Unit at Boston Childrens Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115 would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin.

Iannuzzi, Paula - Franklin  
Paula M. (Lampasona) Iannuzzi, 40, of Franklin, died peacefully at her home Monday, November 17, 2014. She was the former wife of Daniel C. Iannuzzi of Franklin. Born October 27, 1974 in Milford, a beloved daughter of Patrick F. and Mary F. (Ducey) Lampasona of Franklin, she was a lifelong Franklin resident. She attended Franklin schools, and she graduated from Franklin High School in 1992. She also earned her Bachelors Degree in Communications from UMASS Amherst. She worked as an administrator for Lampasona Concrete Corporation and CPI Concrete, she was a sales representative for Zingarela Importers, Inc., and most recently she worked at several restaurants in Milford. Paula was a devoted mother, who spent all of her time with her children; she was a volunteer in their classrooms at the Remington Jefferson School in Franklin and was a kind and giving person who was happiest when she was with her family and friends. In addition to her parents and former husband she is survived by her children, Carmine D., Nina P. and Franco A. Iannuzzi of Franklin, her brother Patrick F. PJ Lampasona, Jr. of Franklin, & her sisters Pamela M. Lampasona of Franklin and Maria M. Lampasona-Macias of San Francisco, California. She was the niece of Bill Lampasona of Franklin, Sue Phillips of Norfolk, & Dan Ducey of Franklin. She also leaves her cousins Nick, Billy Ryan, and Tony Lampasona, Jr., George, Kenny and Sue Phillips, her nieces and nephews, & her companion Luke Brandfonbrener. She was the granddaughter of the late Patsy and Margaret Lampasona & Kevin and Frances Ducey. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday, November 24, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin F uneral Home, 33 Cottage St., with a Funeral Mass in St. Marys Church at 10AM. Interment will follow at the family lot in St. Marys Cemetery. Locke, Esther F. - Franklin  
Esther Frances (Sheffer) Locke, 100, of Franklin died peacefully at the home where she was born and lived almost her entire life with her daughter beside her. She was the wife of the late Frank R. Locke. Born in Franklin, October 5, 1914, the third child of Frank and Nellie Blinda (Mason) Sheffer, Mrs. Locke had lived most of her life in Franklin. She was married to Frank R. Locke for 68 years until his passing 2001. She is survived by her daughter Marjorie Osgood of Franklin. She was the mother of the late Frank R. Locke Jr. who died in 2009. She was the sister of the late Frank and Gordon Sheffer. She is also survived by her granddaughters, Kristine and Tracey and their mother Cynthia Forbush and by her 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a very special friend, George Howe that with his support and love she was able to be in her home and have her gardens that brought her much joy. At Esthers request, there are no visiting hours. It was her wish to allow family and friends to remember her in their own way. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of ones choice. Arrangements are under the care of the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www. ginleyfuneralhomes.com ).

Mitchell, Edna - Franklin  
Edna (Bailey) Mitchell, 84, of Franklin, died November 9 in her home. She was the wife of Vincent R. Mitchell. Born in Braintree, November 22, 1929, the daughter of the late Harrison W. and Kisbro (Burton) Bailey, Mrs. Mitchell had lived in Millis, Pelham, New Hampshire prior to moving to Franklin two years ago. Mrs. Mitchell had been a stitcher in several textile mills. She had also worked as a ceramics teacher and a private detective. Edna was a talented artist and loved animals. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Marion Syngay of Franklin, Jack Mitchell of Manchester, New Hampshire, David Mitchell of Southwick, Gary Mitchell of Douglas, Diane Clancy of Norfolk, Edward Mitchell of Pelham, New Hampshire and Mary Cates of Uxbridge. She also card for many foster children. Edna is also survived by her sister Pauline Colburn of Plymouth and her 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin ( www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com ) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 10:00. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen. Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4-7. P.m. in the funeral home.

Rodgers, Robert T. - Marlboro  
Robert T. Rodgers, 63, died suddenly Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at his home. Born in Boston, July 30, 1951 a son of the late Robert T. Buck Rodgers and Evelyn M. (McKean) Rodgers, he was raised and educated in Medfield, and had formerly lived in Sutton before moving to Franklin 15 years ago. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He attained the rank of sergeant, and worked as a fuel specialist. He became permanently disabled while in the Air Force, but still held his service time in high regard. He was honorably discharged in 1974. He loved all sports, fishing and cribbage. He is survived by his son, Robert T. Rodgers of Sutton, a brother Douglas A. Rodgers of Boothwyn, Penn, 2 sisters, Lynne A. Chludenski of S. Yarmouth and Christine A. Andrews of Franklin. Relatives and friends were invited to attend his funeral Thursday, November 20 at 1:00 PM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son, Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St. Internment with military honors will follow at the Rodgers family lot in Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, November 20, from 11 am to 1 PM.

Rooney, Irene - Franklin  
Irene Isabella (Martin) Rooney 91, of Franklin, died suddenly, Sunday November 23, 2014 at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Paul J. Rooney, who died in 1991. Born in Boston, March 4, 1923 a daughter of the late Nicholas M. and Mary Isabella (Croft) Martin, she was raised and educated in South Boston, and formerly lived in Hingham, Milton, and Dorchester, before moving to Franklin 10 years ago. Mrs. Rooney enjoyed travel, interior decorating, and was an avid reader. She is survived by 2 daughters; Cynthia M. Rooney MD of Hingham, Dr. Paula M. Rooney, President of Dean College and her husband P. Gerard Gerry Shaw of Franklin, 1 grandson Paul Rooney Shaw of Franklin, and was a special aunt to Christopher Rooney and his wife Jeanne and their two children Kayleigh and Conor of Jamestown, RI. Mrs. Rooney is also the sister of the late Mary Evelyn Sullivan, Dorothy Martin, Thomas, James, Gerald and Edward Martin, Rita McDonough, and Lillian Perry. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday Nov. 26th, at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. with a funeral Mass in St. Jude Church 86 Main St. Norfolk, MA 02056 at 10AM. Interment will follow at the family lot in Milton Cemetery. Spavold, Ellen - Franklin  
Ellen (Georgopoulos) Spavold, 87, of Medway died at her home on November 13. She was the wife of the late Charles P. Spavold who died in 1985. Born in Cambridge, January 30, 1927, the daughter of the late William and Ethel (Anderson) Georgopoulos, Mrs. Spavold had lived in Medway since 1948. Mrs. Spavold had been a department manager at the former MARS Department store in Medway for over 20 years. Ellen had been a member of AARP and had been active at the Medway Senior Center. She is survived by her children, Karen Meyer of Enfield, Ct., Nickie Chandler of Belchertown, Charlene Martin of Dalton, NH, Charles Spavold of Franklin and Paul Spavold of Medway. She was the mother of the late Peter Spavold. She is also survived by her siblings, Peter Georgopoulos of Texas, Nicholas Georgopoulos of Brighton, Mabel Villani of Florida and the late Anna Murphy and Charles Georgopoulos. She is also survived by her grandchildren Scott Semple, Joseph Martin, James Spavold and Rebecca Spavold and her 3 great-grandchildren. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17 in the Medway Village Church at 3:30 P.m. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Medway. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 3-6 in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home ( www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com ) 3 Barber Street, Medway.
