John T. Feeney, 91, of Framingham, died on Friday January 24, 2014 unexpectedly in Framingham. He was the husband of Ellen (Mackey) Feeney. They had been married for the past sixty-one years. Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Ryan) Feeney, he had been a resident of Framingham for over sixty years. He was a graduate from Commerce High School in Worcester, Class of 1940. He was a U. S Army
veteran of both World War II
and Korea and was a mailman for over thirty. years in the Saxonville section of Framingham. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son Paul Feeney of Framingham; one daughter, Dianne McGowan and her husband Paul of Framingham; one brother Alfred Feeney of New York; four grandchildren, Colleen Whalen, Allison Jenkins, Lance Feeney and Ryan Feeney; five great-grandchildren, Keira, Lily, Reghan, Sean and Brendan and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by three brothers and two sisters. His greatest joy in life was his family. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in St. George's Church, 74 School Street, Framingham (Saxonville). Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery in Framingham. There will be no funeral home calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Eugene J. McCarthy and Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln Street, Framingham.
