Mary S. (Sculos) Joslin, 99, of Dallas and Framingham, died Saturday, March 31, 2012 at EPOCH of Chestnut Hill after a brief illness. Born in Framingham, she was the wife of the late Roland "Sid" Joslin who died in 1956 in the greatest air tragedy of its day in the Grand Canyon. Together they owned and operated a business in Texas which supported the oil industry. She was the daughter of Straty N. and Persephone (Stergulis) Sculos, owners of the former Maridor Restaurant and Fonda del Corro Motel both well known landmarks on Route 9 in Framingham. Mary was sister to Kathleen S. Sculos and Nicholas, John, Peter and Robert Sculos who predeceased her. She is survived by siblings Byron S. Sculos and his wife Matia Cocoris Sculos of Quincy and Falmouth, and Theodora S. Stanton and her husband Paul of Delray Beach, FL and Framingham. She is also survived by Margaret Sculos of Dennis who was the wife of Robert as well as many nieces and nephews. Mary was truly the most unselfish, generous and caring person and will be remembered for always helping those in need in any way possible. She leaves many loving friends whom she treasured throughout her life and will be sorely missed by all.
