Robert Joseph Jachowicz, age 84, from Lynn, MA but a longtime resident of Framingham, died peacefully Thursday, May 9, 2013 at his home in Framingham. He was the husband of 63 years to Phyllis M.(Rosicky) Jachowicz, also from Lynn. Bob was the son of the late Joseph and Emily (Lovely) Jachowicz. He was a graduate and standout football player at Lynn English High School and won a four year full scholarship to the College of the Holy Cross, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. He was a member and former president of the Framingham Teachers Association, where he worked diligently for equal pay rights for all educators in Framingham. Bob also held dear to his heart the works of Metrowest Human Services | ARC of South Middlesex, where he formerly served as President. In 2005, he was the recipient of the Salute to Framingham honor for his many contributions to the betterment of education in Framingham. He was inducted into the MA Coaches Hall of Fame and the Lynn English Hall of Fame. Bob developed many lifelong friendships and bonds and always had a smile or story to share or a song to sing. Many may remember the Friday night singing group at various restaurants in Framingham that started at Kens and is still going strong at Imperial China, the former May Garden. Reggie, Eddie and Bob were the mainstays of the Friday night harmonies. Besides his wife, Phyllis, he is survived by his children, Crispin Jachowicz and his wife Donna of Framingham; Robert P.
