Steven J. Coughlin, 18, of Framingham, lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Childrens Hospital, Boston. He was the beloved son of John J. Coughlin of Framingham and the late Samantha A. (Marini) Coughlin who died in 2010. He was also the beloved brother of the late Robert A. Coughlin, who passed away in August 2012 and grandson of the late Bernard Coughlin. Besides his father John, he is survived by his sister Colleen E. Coughlin of Framingham, his grandparents, Lorene and Alex Marini of Hudson and Margaret Coughlin of Sudbury. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Robert Coughlin of Arlington, Jesse Campbell Wilson of WA, Linda Coughlin of FL, Edward and Tammy Ducey of Hudson and many loving cousins. He is also survived by his devoted girlfriend Brianna Christoforo of Wellesley and many friends who loved him as family. Steven attended Framingham High School and Thayer Academy both in Framingham. He was a gifted athlete who enjoyed many sports especially football and basketball. He was a fan of all Boston sports teams. He loved music, writing lyrics and rapping with his friends. His smile and humor never failed and his friendship will be missed by all. Relatives and friends were invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, June 26, at 11 a.m. at the Greater Framingham Community Church, 44 Franklin Street, Framingham, MA. Burial will be private. Visiting hours were on Tuesday, June 25, from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech St., (corner of Union Ave.), Framingham.
