Christopher J. Thies, 50, of Derry, NH died Friday August 28, 2015 in the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA. Chris was born in Boston, MA on November 27, 1964, a son of Esther (Coleman) Thies and the late Donald Thies. He was a resident of Derry for several years, formerly living in Portsmouth, NH. Chris was employed as an insurance salesman for Shields Brokerage in Exeter, NH. Chris was the writer and director of Winterbeast. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Eisenhauer of Derry, his children, Austin Thies and Isabel Thies, both of Derry, his brother, Dale Thies of Scituate, MA, and by his mother of Exeter. He was predeceased by his brother, David Thies. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday September 1, 2015 from 4 | 8 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Ave., Derry with cremation to follow.
