Miriam Frances Anne Kenyon, age 92, of Peabody (formerly Hamilton) Massachusetts, went home on January 26, 2014 to be with her Lord and Savior, who she served all of her days. She was born October 11, 1921 in Auckland, New Zealand to the late Charles W. and Alice Mable Bedbrook. She studied law at Auckland University, where she met and married her husband during World War II. She remained in Auckland until 1946 when she came to the United States with many other war brides. She and her husband located in Williamstown, Mass in 1946. After several moves, they settled in Hamilton, MA in1964, where they lived until moving to Brooksby Village in Peabody in 2006. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. True to her faith, Miriam spent many years working for Back to Bible Broadcasting, before moving on to Wycliffe Bible Translators. She later took a position with Gordon College in Wenham, a well known Christian College, where she worked as the Director of Development for around 10 years, at which time she retired at the age of 67. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert Dexter Kenyon, two daughters, Judith Cushman of Marietta, GA and Suzanne Clark of Ipswich, MA, four grandchildren, Jonathan Daly of Roswell, GA, Heather Ashby of Canton, GA, Jason Clark of Beverly, MA, Justin Clark of Beverly, MA and 9 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am, on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the First Congregational Church of Hamilton, 624 Bay Rd, South Hamilton, MA 01982. The family requests, that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Miriam F Kenyon Scholarship Fund, Gordon College, Grapevine Road, Wenham, MA 01984.
