Kai J. Lehti

Kai Joel Lehti, 21, of Hanover, formerly of Rockland, died suddenly June 3, 2012. He was born in Boston, son of Visa V. Lehti of Hanover and Deborah L. (Hanson) Lehti of Rockland. He was raised and educated in Rockland and had made his home in Hanover for the past two years. While in high school, Kai was a standout member of the football team and he loved spending time on the ocean both boating and fishing. He had attained his certified nursing assistant designation (CNA) and had been employed at both the Coyne Healthcare and South Shore Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Kai had also studied toward becoming an EMT. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Marisa L. Lehti of Hanover; his grandparents, Anja Mummu and Kauko Ukki Lehti of Finland, Charlotte Nana Hanson of Hanover and Harold Papa Hanson of Florida. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. A celebration of his life was held Saturday, June 9, 2012, in the Calvary Chapel, 175 Market St., in Rockland, at 12:30 p.m. Visitation was one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
