Dan McKee of Hanover passed away unexpectedly April 20, 2013, the day of his 44th birthday. He was the beloved son of Dona McKee and the late David McKee Sr., both of Weymouth. He was also the devoted brother of Don McKee of Hanover, Denise Dyckman of Hanson and David McKee Jr. of Cambridge. He is also survived by grandmothers, Louise Bryan and Doris McKee, both from Weymouth; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. A graduate of Hanover High School, Class of 1987, McKee attended Massasoit Community College in Brockton and worked in manufacturing, the creative arts and other industries during his lifetime. He also enjoyed painting, fishing, reading, discussing philosophy and other spiritual matters with his friends and family and was a devoted Christian and regularly attended the Temple Christ Messiah Church in Plymouth. His gentle spirit, warm and friendly personality and kind nature touched everyone who knew him. There will be a special burial service Friday, June 21, at the Blue Hill Cemetery, 700 West St., in Braintree. The time is 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
