Dennis M. Dorgan, 65, of Hanover, died Saturday, June 22, surrounded by his loving family, at home. He was the beloved son of Bernice (Dupree) Dorgan and the late Lawrence F. Dorgan Sr. He had been a lifelong resident of Hanover and attended Hanover schools. Dennis worked for the Teamsters Local 25 for 25 years and presently he worked for ABC Movers as a truck driver, before his illness. Dennis was a longtime member of the South Shore Street Rods and had won numerous awards for his 31 Ford Coupe. He was an animal lover and has had many pets over the years. Dennis greatest joy was his motorcycle, his hot rods and especially his family and friends. In addition to his mother Bernice, he is survived by his brothers, Lawrence F. Dorgan Jr. of Hanson, Brian Dorgan of Sagamore; his sister, Sylvia F. Isaacson of New Jersey; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. His memorial service was held Thursday, June 27, at 7 p.m. in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 at the rotary), Whitman. Burial will be at a later date.
