Gertrude (Davis) Sergei, age 92, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Golden Living Center in Dedham. She was the daughter of the late James and Margaret (Gardiner) Davis. Gert was born on November 14, 1922 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was employed as a meat packer for Armour Star for several years. She and her late husband Michael were married on August 22, 1948 at Our Lady of Ostro Brama Church in Boston. Gert enjoyed playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and jig saw puzzles. She loved to crochet, garden and dance. Most of all Gert enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Loving mother of Michael and his wife Linda Sergei of FL, Richard and his wife Maureen Sergei of Foxborough and Kathleen and her husband Arthur Dunn of S. Weymouth. Beloved grandmother of Brian, Daniel, Noel, Patrick and Christopher. Devoted great grandmother of Emma & Caitlyn. Sister of the late James Davis, Sonny Davis, Loretta Minyard, Clara Murdock, Violet Stark and Josephine Gillis. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, January 31 from 1 to 3 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street Foxborough. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM at the conclusion of calling hours. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
