John "Jack" Francis Sisk, of Hanover, died peacefully at home March 3, 2014, surrounded by his family. Jack is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marie (Fleming); his daughter, Donna and her husband Wayne Kirby; and two granddaughters, Taylor and Hannah Kirby, all of Hanover. Born and raised in South Boston, Jack was the son of the late William and Delia Sisk and brother of the late Barbara DiNatale and Vincent Sisk. Jack was a graduate of Boston English High School in 1949, Northeastern University in 1958, and Boston College Law School in 1961. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Currituck from 1951 through 1955. Jack had a private law practice in Boston for 15 years and held several positions working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, most recently as Chief Counsel of the Auditors Office. He was a lifetime member of the Falmouth Yacht Club. Jack was at his happiest aboard the Taylor Maid, at weekend yard sales on the Cape, and Saturday night dinners in Falmouth with the people he loved. He will be remembered for his humor, intelligence and generosity. Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. at the Sullivan Funeral Home, 551 Washington Street (Rte. 53), Hanover. A funeral Mass will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart, 392 Hanover Street (Rte. 139), Hanover.
