Neal E. Cahill

Neal E. Cahill, 42, a former longtime Harvard resident, died Wed. Sept. 11, 2013 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. Born in Concord and raised in Harvard, he was the son of Judith (McNabb) Cahill of Shirley the late Dean M. Cahill. Neal attended the Harvard schools and was employed for many years in the landscaping business. He is remembered as a very creative person who liked to collect things and could make jewelry and art from ordinary and unlikely items. Neal enjoyed maple sugaring, riding motorcycles and music,especially Johnny Cash. Every year he made it his mission to have his mother's flower garden established and blooming. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sons, Jeremy D. and Erik O. Cahill both of Ayer; a brother Glen Cahill of Shirley; a sister Brenda Ogilvie of Ayer; and his former wife Minnie A. (Nau) Cahill of Ayer. He was the brother of the late Paul Cahill and Doreen Crusius. Relatives and friend were invited to visiting hours Tues. Sept. 17th from 5-8pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave. (Rte 111) Acton. Funeral services and interment in Bellevue Cemetery, Harvard, were private. Memorial page at www.
