Joseph Evans O'Leary, age 67, of Harwich Port, formerly of Medfield and Boston passed away July 7, 2013. He will be sorely missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Carolyn Brady O'Leary, and his children; daughter Caryn and husband Matt Conway, son Kevin and wife KC OLeary, son David and wife Nanda OLeary, and daughter Catherine O'Leary and husband Kyle Milbier. Joe was the proud and loving grandfather of William, Nicholas, Reis, Connor, Elizabeth, and Keane. Beloved son of the late C. Joseph and Dorothy Evans O'Leary, he graduated from Wellesley High School, Boston College, Boston College Law School, and the Georgetown Law Center and proudly served as Lieutenant in the Naval JAG Corps. An accomplished lawyer, Joe recently retired from McDermott, Will, & Emery, where he served as National Chair of Labor and Employment Law. He was a former partner at Seyfarth, Shaw, as well as Choate, Hall, & Stewart. An active member of his community, Joe was a Knight of the Order of Malta, had been a trustee of Catholic Charities for the Archdiocese of Boston , and the New England Province of the Jesuits. Joe loved living on Cape Cod, especially his time at Allen Harbor Yacht Club where he served on the board and as legal advisor. Arrnagements handled by the Morris OConnor and Blute Funeral Home, 678 Main St., Harwich Center. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church, 246 Rt. 28, West Harwich. Interment was private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Catholic Charities of Boston, 51 Sleeper St. Boston, MA or to VNA Hospice of Cape Cod, 434 Route 134 Suite D-3, South Dennis, MA 02660. To The Family, I was so sorry to hear the news of Joe's passing. He was a wonderful man and a great golfing buddy. Always a class act - Joe had a great heart, piercing intelligence, and such a sense of humor! He carried himself so gracefully through his illness. God bless you all!.

Dear Carolyn and "Clan", Joe was a dear friend since childhood. He had a great spirit, true courage, a laugh and smile that he shared with so many.
