Kate Graham Greenhalgh died after illness on May 2nd at the age of 46. Born on May 25th 1967 to former Harwich selectman and state representative Haden Greenhalgh and Lucille Greenhalgh. She was raised in Harwichport. She was a graduate of Harwich High School in 1985 and The Rhode Island School of Design in 1990. She worked in the fashion industry in Los Angeles for several years before returning to Cape Cod to teach in the art department of Barnstable High School and the Cape Cod Museum of Fine Arts. She started her own company, Leave It Weaver, a hand painted silk scarf design house, in 1993. She received the Merit Award from the Buyers Market of American Craft in 1999. Kate loved to travel as inspiration for her work. She was also an avid live music fan, especially The Incredible Casuals, were she would dance every Sunday in the front row (on the Spampinato side)."She was also a passionate supporter of animal rights, especially her pit bull rescue dog, Ringo.
