Philip Deschamps of Orleans passed away peacefully on his 87th birthday, with his family by his side. He was the husband of Barbara (Walker) Deschamps for 62 years. He was born in Hyannis on March 20, 1926, resided on the Cape for his entire life and in 1961 co-founded Nauset Marine with his brother-in-law Pete Walker and father-in-law Howard Walker. He was instrumental in advancing the marine industry throughout New England and his family-owned company recently enjoyed their 50th anniversary celebration. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara, son Ron and his wife Lucinda of Eastham, daughter Debbi and her husband Peewee Baker of Chelsea, VT and son Dave and his wife Meg Kenny of Brewster; and grandchildren, Brady, Cole, Oharra and Kyle. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday May 19th from 2p-5p at the Orleans Inn. Donations may be made in Phils memory to the Hooved Animal Sanctuary, P.O.
