Regina G. Richardson EASTHAM Regina G. (Smith) Richardson, 79 of Eastham died Thursday July 25, 2013 at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation | Eagle Pond in South Dennis after a long illness. She was the wife of Bernard W. Richardson for 58 years. Born in Somerville, Mrs. Richardson was raised and educated in Arlington, was a graduate of Arlington High School and Fisher Junior College Secretarial School. Mrs. Richardson, a longtime resident of Eastham, worked as bookkeeper and office manager for Down Cape Engineering in Yarmouthport and for Felco Engineering in Orleans. An avid photographer, Mrs. Richardson received many awards for her photography and was president of the View Finders Club. Mrs. Richardson was a devout catholic and was a communicant at St. Joan of Arc Church in Orleans. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed sports, spending time on the family farm in Abbot, ME, and the views from Rock Harbor, In addition to her husband, Mrs. Richardson is survived by a son, Stephen of Eastham; three daughters, Donna Rowell of Ossipee, NH, Cheryl Atamaniuk of Brattleboro, VT, and Laura Eldridge of Eastham; two brothers, Robert Smith of Arlington, and Lawrence of Westford; two sisters, Arlene Lordon of Arlington and Patricia Hill of Merrimack, NH; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday July 31 in St. Joan of Arc Church, 61 Canal Rd., Orleans. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery, Eastham. Arrangements handled by the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice. |
