Anna M. (Griffin) Linscott, a Hingham resident for almost 65 years, passed away Thursday, May 9, 2013, at the Harbor House Nursing Center in Hingham, at the age of 91. She was born in Weymouth and was educated in Weymouth schools. During World War II, she worked as a welder at the Fore River and Hingham shipyards. Mrs. Linscott was a member of the Hingham Fire Wives and enjoyed camping, knitting and handi-crafts. She was the wife of the late Robert E. Linscott; and mother of Gerard F. Linscott of Hingham; grandmother of Timothy R. Linscott and his wife Katherine of Pembroke and Kimberly A. Muzzi and her husband Mark of Lunenburg; great-grandmother of Caroline G., Deanna E. and Allison F. Linscott and Hannah R., Joshua R. and Heather J. Muzzi. A prayer service was conducted Tuesday, May 14, at 11 a.m. at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham.
