Charles Bradley Obituary

Charles P. Bradley of Hingham, formerly of Dorchester, died suddenly at his home Aug. 28, 2013. He was 87. The beloved husband of 42 years to Jeanette (Alexander) Bradley of Hingham, he was the cherished father of Janine Suchecki and her husband Daniel of Hingham; proud Papa to his grandson and name sake Charles Suchecki of Hingham; son of the late John J. and Sarah (Grannon) Bradley; brother of the late John J. Bradley Jr. Charles was a proud World War II Navy veteran. He worked as an operator for the MBTA for more than 33 years. He was a member of the Carmens Union, D.A.V. and a member of the Military Miniatures Association of New England. A proud plank owner of the USS Hancock CV No. 19. He enjoyed following New England Sports, especially the Red Sox. An avid reader, he was considered a history buff. Even with all his interests, the most important aspect of his life was his family. He adored them and in return, they cherished him. He will be sadly missed. A funeral Mass was held Wednesday, Sept. 4, in St. Pauls Church, Hingham, at 11 a.m. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charles may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Boy he would have enjoyed seeing the Sox in this post season. He enjoyed them so much and this is a good year.

He was such a fun guy to talk to at the bank. Sad to hear he is gone. We talked about the Red Sox ! you knew this. If you knew him this was a favorite subject during baseball season. RIP you dear Man. and surely you had a terrific smile !
