Louis Marshall Jr., a lifelong resident of Hingham, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014, at the Royal Norwell Nursing Center, at the age of 78. Mr. Marshall was a 1955 graduate of Weymouth Vocational School, where he learned carpentry and served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1959. He was associated with the Frank B. Curry Company of Boston since the age of 17 and retired as vice president. He owned and restored two Model 'T' cars which he drove in the Hingham July 4th Parade for 20 years, as well as other parades in towns in the area. He especially enjoyed wintering in Florida in his RV. Mr. Marshall was the husband of the late Wilda P. (Noddin) Marshall; and father of Sheri L. Mehrmann and her husband Bryan of Mendon, Debra J. Driscoll and her husband Paul of Weymouth and Lori A. Sherwin and her husband Todd of Hingham; grandfather of Jennifer LaPreste, Kimberly Laronga, Christopher Mehrmann and Ryan and Matthew Sherwin; great-grandfather of Connor LaPreste and Aurora Laronga. Visitation was held at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham, Sunday, April 6, from 3-6 p.m. The funeral services and interment were private.
