Patricia M. Avitabile-Cairns, of Randolph, formerly of South Boston passed away unexpectedly Dec. 1, 2014, at the age of 74. Wife of the late Donald J. Cairns. Loving mother of Jonathan E. Clifford and his wife Elizabeth of Rockland. Daughter of the late Patrizio and Carmella (Zechello) Avitabile. Devoted sister of Louis Avitabile and his wife Roberta of Hanover, Nicholas and his wife Barbara Avitabile of Hingham and Joanne Mahan and her husband Paul of Brockton. Dear Nanni of Jonathan E. Clifford Jr. of Rockland. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Patricia was born is Boston, grew up in South Boston and graduated from South Boston High School. She was a computer systems analyst for many years. Reposed at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 N. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph, MA 02368. Funeral was on Monday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Relatives and friends were respectfully invited to attend. Barra, Paul J. - Middleboro  
Paul J. Barra, of Middleboro, formerly of Randolph and Wareham, passed away Dec. 3, after a brief illness. He was 69. Born in Boston, Paul was raised and educated in Dorchester. He graduated from Boston Tech and also Massachusetts Maritime Academy with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Late US Navy Veteran. Paul enjoyed gardening, reading, and old vinyl records. Beloved husband of Josephine (Calabrese) Barra. Loving father of Marianne Zielinski and her husband Robert of Bridgewater, Judy Moniz and her husband Jon of Raynham, and Paul Barra and his wife Jenna of Randolph. Devoted brother of Paula Flaherty of South Burlington, Vt. and Roberta Bradley of St. Louis, Mo. Dear papa of Jayden, Brandon, Brittany, Savana, Juliana, Joseph, and Michael. A memorial service held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 134 So. Main St. (Rte. 28) Randolph, Sunday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. Visiting hours prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. Private interment at a later date. Doucette, Helen E.  
Helen E. (Kenney) Doucette, of Randolph, formerly of Everett, passed away Dec. 7, 2014 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of 63 years to Raymond J. Doucette. Loving mother of Kathleen Lang and her husband Joseph of Pembroke, Maureen Fitch and her husband David of East Bridgewater, and the late Kenneth Doucette. Devoted sister of Catherine Thurber of Canton and the late Thomas Kenney. Dear grandmother of Brian Lang, Kevin Lang, Kerry Lang, Christina Fitch, and Ryan Fitch. Also survived by her great-grandchildren Addison and Kayley Lang. Helen was born in Everett where she grew up and was educated. She has lived in Randolph for the past 60 years. Reposed at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 N. Main St. (Rte.28), Randolph, MA 02368 until 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 in St. Bernadette Church, Randolph, MA. Giannelli, Neal J. - Stoughton  
Neal J. Giannelli, 87, died peacefully at his home in Stoughton on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of the late Charlotte (Booth) Giannelli. Son of the late Giovacchino Giannelli and Maria (Maraglia) Giannelli Stevens, he was born and educated in Stoughton. He was a resident of Sharon for 10 years before moving to Eustis, Florida after his retirement for 25 years. He returned to Stoughton 3 years ago. Mr. Giannelli was a Private First Class in the U.S. Marine Corps and a veteran of World War II. He worked for the Sharon DPW before becoming a supervisor at the Kendall Company for 15 years until his retirement several years ago. He was a member of Pine Meadows Golf and Country Club in Florida. Along with his wife Charlotte, he enjoyed building and furnishing doll houses, as well as driving and exploring the countryside for flea markets. Mr. Giannelli is survived by his children, Mary Jean Giannelli and her husband Kenji of Hawaii, Gary Giannelli and his wife Susanna of Spain and Anthony Giannelli and his wife Anne of Brockton, as well as his step-children, Micaela MacDonald of Florida, Paul E. MacDonald and his wife Amy of New Hampshire, Jan C. VanVaerenewyck and her husband Thomas of Templeton, John R. MacDonald and his wife Eileen of New Jersey, Patricia MacDonald of Worcester, Edward V. MacDonald of Brockton, Anne K. Lawson and her husband Howard of Stoughton, Matthew L. MacDonald and his partner Jennifer of Sharon, Ian L. MacDonald of North Attleboro and Thomas B. MacDonald of Texas. He was the brother of Gloria Parry of California, Regina Leroy of Middleboro, Aldo Giannelli and his wife Margaret of New Bedford, Corina Mason of Florida, Frances Morris of North Carolina, Robert Stevens of Brockton and the late Eugene, Richard, Clemente and Rosie Giannelli, Genevieve Fogg and Margaret Allen. He is also survived by 2 granddaughters, 26 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Saturday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours omitted. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Hagan Jr., James P.  
James P. Hagan Jr., of Avon, formerly of Randolph passed away Dec. 10, 2014, at the age of 72 after a period of declining health. Loving father of James P. Hagan III, of Crownsville, Md., Cheryl A. Hagan of Rockland and Tracey M. Gray and her husband Christopher of Whitman. Dear Papa of Sean P. Hagan, Cameron J. Gray, Hollyanne N. Wood, and Leah M. Gray. Son of the late Jim and June (Daley) Hagan. Devoted brother of Pat Zink of S.C., the late Marie Johnson, Ruth Fleming and Carole Judge. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. James was born in Boston. He was a Vietnam Veteran who served in the US NAVY. James was an Upholsterer and owner of ART Upholstery in Quincy for 30 years. Lifelong member of the Amvets Post in Randolph. He will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Reposed at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main Street, (Rte. 28) Randolph. Margaret Peg A. (Cullinan) of Holbrook for more than 57 years, formerly of Dorchester, passed away December 11, 2014. Peg was 83 years old. She was born in Boston. Peg loved summers at Lake Winnisquam in N.H. with her family. She also enjoyed reading, bingo at the V.F.W. in Abington, trips to Mohegan Sun, loved ducks, swans and anything that sparkled. She was the beloved wife of John F. Hilson; loving mother of Margaret A. Gallagher of Ashland, John F. Hilson of California, Robert P. Hilson of Norwell, and Marie L. Hilson of Holbrook; devoted sister of Mary Davis of Holbrook. Peg is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home until 9:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 19, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Loving brother of Samuel Kaplan and his wife Linda and the late Esther Goldstein and Albert Kaplan. Robert L. Bob McCormick - known to some as Willie was born in Brockton, Ma. January 28, 1947 - died in Marshfield, Ma. December 4, 2014. Loving husband to Marsha McCormick of Marshfield, brother to (pre-deceased) James Jaimie McCormick of Stoughton, brother to Kevin coach McCormick of Stoughton, father of Susan McCormick, Melissa McCormick, Christian Hazel and Ryan Hazel. He is survived by several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Graduate of St. Mary school, Stoughton 1961. Stoughton High School 1965. Decorated Vietnam Veteran - United States Air Force: Special Operations Group At Bobs request their will be no wake, nor funeral. McDonald, Richard B.  
Richard B. McDonald, a longtime resident of Stoughton and United States Coast Guard Veteran of the Korean War passed away after a brief illness in Brockton on Dec. 5, 2014. He was 85 years old and the beloved husband of the late Shirley R. (Hubbard) McDonald. Survivors include his 4 children, Craig H. McDonald and his wife Linda of Brockton, James S. McDonald and his wife Kathleen of Rockland, Susan Carlson of Marlboro, Linda K. McDonald of Stoughton, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his brother Kenneth McDonald of California. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was also a father to the late Jeffrey B. McDonald. Born Nov. 4, 1929 in Spokane, Washington Richard was a son to the late Robert and Marybelle (McCracken) McDonald. He was employed as a driver by several area trucking companies for many years. He and his late wife were former members and had attended the First United Methodist Church in Stoughton. Dick was also a member of the former I.O.O. O. F. Lodge in Stoughton. He was also an avid hockey and football fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends. Richard will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His funeral service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. from the Sheehan, Lowe & Powers Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton. Petrosky, Edward D. - Randolph  
Edward D. Petrosky of Randolph, died December 9, 2014. Ed was a master electrician for over 25 years for Polaroid, Evergreen Solar and Gilette Companies. He was a graduate of Rindge Technical High School in Cambridge. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, photography, and gardening. He will always be remembered with the special times spent with his family especially watching his children playing soccer. Ed will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was the husband of Ronilca S. (Barbosa) Petrosky; loving father of Aimee M. Petrosky of Northampton and Sandra L. Sanchez and her husband Wilfredo of Weymouth; stepfather of Luan Souza of Peabody, Juliana Souza, Sadraque Souza, and Kalleb Souza all of Randolph; brother of Mildred C. Wight of Weymouth and the late Raymaond Petrosky; former husband of Antoinete M. Casarano of Weymouth. Also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 nieces. Visiting hours were Friday, Dec. 12, 4-8 p.m. in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles and Middle Street), East Weymouth. A celebration of life service was held at 9 a.m. Saturday from the funeral home followed by Eds funeral service Saturday at 10 a.m. in Calvary Chapel, 175 Market Street, Rockland.
