Obituary Condolences

Norman A. Phinney, of Holbrook, passed away July 13 after a brief illness. He was 72 years old. Norman was born, raised, and educated in Boston. He was retired from the Telephone Company and had been a resident of Holbrook for 45 years. Norman enjoyed spending time in FL, gardening, cars, participating in the Boy Scouts, and most of all spending time with his family and grandchildren. Beloved husband of 50 years of Ann (Kelley) Phinney. Loving father of Diane Brownell and her husband Thomas of Lakeville, Allan Phinney and his wife Marie of Holbrook, Donald Phinney and his wife Mary of Holbrook, and Michelle Aiello and her husband Joseph of Avon. Devoted brother of Richard Phinney of VT, Ronald Phinney of AL, and Paula Ord of Marshfield. Cherished grandfather of Thomas, Nicole, Leeann, Nicholas, Zachary, Hunter, and Joey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held at the Hurley Funeral Home, 127 So. Franklin St. (Rte. 37) Holbrook, Thursday, July 19 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours were Wednesday, July 18 from 4 - 8 p.m. Interment Blue Hill Cemetery.
