Mr. Bruno was one in a million. He was able to teach me and motivate me to do things I did not have the confidence to do as a young man. Will always remember his rule, students must check into the pub the evening before an exam for a beer (he bought). His rationale was to relax, take away any anxieties and perhaps ask a technical question. He is sorely missed by all of his students.

So sorry to see that Richard has past away. My Mother and Father always spoke highly of him.

Memories often become the conerstone of what you ultimatley do in life. Dick built so many wonderful times in my life that centered on and around Babson College. He was a mentor to me, with love though good and bad. "What a man, what a friend"! In heaven keep an eye on your flock and continue to guide us. Love you!

On New Year's Eve this year, Dick's name came up in discussion as I cracked open a a gigantic bottle of Crown Royal that he had given me 20 years ago as a gift. Dick served as a mentor, advisor and friend while I attended Babson; and he played a signifcant role in providing guidance while I played numerous roles as a member of the Babson Players. It was his idea in 1989 to present "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" - and we played to sell-out crowds.

As a financial planner today, I still utilize some of the metaphors he shared in Accounting Classes. He will be missed.

In my life I reserve a special designation for a very few. Dick Bruno was A Good Man. A tremendous teacher for sure but so much more. I have fond memories of a gathering at my home in Framingham. Dick and Louise were the life of the party. A wonderful couple with a keen understanding of us "young people" who had the good fortune to cross their path. Louise - To you and your entire family, know that Dick will always be remembered. We miss him!

Professor Bruno was truly the funnest and most engaged teachers imaginable. I had the pleasure of taking a class with him at Babson College in 1987. He was unique among all teachers, and in fact was named teacher of the year for six straight years, which is a record that still stands today. While he was always wearing crazy colored Perry Ellis ties, and had a irreverent sense of humor, his class was challenging and prepared students well for accounting and related professions. Out side of the classroom, he was always involved in student life, and in fact joined us for lot's of fun banter at some Pub nights. I will dearly miss him.
