Lydia M. Horan

Lydia M. (Chaves) Horan 72 of Winchendon, passed into her Heavenly home on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Frank and Mary Chaves. She worked as a custodial supervisor at M.I.T. for 18 years. Lydia was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother, who had a love for the Lord Jesus and for life itself. She was very gifted in crafts including painting and silk floral arrangements. She attended Horizon Christian Fellowship Church up until her illness caused her to be mostly homebound. She is survived by her husband of 56 years James E. Horan Sr. of Winchendon, two sons James E. Horan Jr. and Jamie Horan both of Winchendon, a daughter Jessie Greska and husband Robert of Leominster, a sister Linda Seco and her husband Carlos of Athol, two grandchildren Adam Greska and Laura Greska both of Leominster. She was predeceased by her brother Joseph Chaves. A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Horizon Christian Fellowship, 356 Broad St., Fitchburg.
