I remember Dr Mazer, my GP from the 70s to the 90s,
to be a skillful and caring physician, treating not only
my physical issues, but emotional as well. As a
newly single guy, he urged me to "get out there"
and find company. He never pushed me along
to keep an appointment schedule. He visited
my hospital bed in 1984, pre thyroidectomy,
asking " what are you writing, no need for"last
word letters" (I was!.) I loved that guy!

Beth, I am sorry to learn via my computer searching that Dr. Mazer passed away last April. My husband (who passed away in December 9006) and I were longtime patients of his and he was our favorite physician! I was searching for information to contact him to let him know that I just had my 88th birthday attributed to his good care!! My condolences to you and your family. I will never forget his bedside manners as a professional!
