Clarence Bentle Clarence Bentle Clarence "Skip" Bentle, age 77, died on April 11 peacefully at his home. Born in Appleton, Wisconsin on May 12, 1933, he was a son of the late Clarence and Mildred (Knuth) Bentle. He graduated from Appleton High School and joined the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed in the Bahama's and Hanscom AFB. He met his late wife and lived in Littleton for 54 years. Skip was an adult leader for the Boy Scouts, and a member of the Ayer Sportsman's Club. He loved NASCAR and Indy Car Races. An avid sportsman and a great tinkerer, he enjoyed touring the United States in his RV and was a friend to all. He worked for TYCO. Ratheon, Johnson & Johnson, and the Town of Littleton. Skip is survived by his daughter Betsy A. Brackett and granddaughter Kate of West Chesterfield, N.H., son Michael C. of Littleton, Four brothers: Jerry W. Bentle of Iron River. MI., Vaughn F. Knuth of Kaukauna, WI., Vance G. Knuth of Fremont, WI., and Vince C. Knuth of Menasha, WI.; Three sisters: Marty M. Bentle of Wild Rose, WI., Valoyce E. Bentle-deceased-born: July 24, died July 25, and Maria M. (Knuth) Schwalen of Marietta, GA. Visiting hours will be on Sunday from 12-4 at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St.(Rt. 2A) Littleton with a service at the funeral home on Monday at 11AM.
