Bob was gracious and kind from the first day I met him at Home Depot.
He was always asking after my parents and their health, wanted to know how things were going with me and my girl.
And he would listen.
Bob loved a good joke and could get a look in his eye like a kid and his face would turn shades of red even Target hasn't tapped into, yet.
Being agnostic, I'm not sure which direction we go after death.
However, in Bobs' case, right now he's walking past God who is sitting, having his lunch, and Bob is leaning over the table asking, "Whatcha' eatin'?"
"Want to share?"
Followed by, "Wanna' read my paper?"
"Just put it back in my locker when ya' dun with it, kid."
The Bob I knew was a man of great integrity and warmth.
Carolyn was always kind to me and didn't just wander away if we met in a grocery store.
She'd be just as much part of Bobs' greetings as he was.
Two very good people.
A great loss.
Senseless loss.
My best wishes to the family.
