Connors, James  
James J. Connors, age 60, died in his Mansfield, home on Thursday, April 16, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Norwood, on September 19, 1954, he was rasied in Sharon and graduated from Sharon High School with the class of 1973. Jim was a two season athlete in high school playing both football and baseball. In his senior year, he was appointed Captain of the Sharon High School Eagles Football Team. After graduation, Jim attended Norwich University and was a member of their Rubgy Team. He finished his education at Control Data Tech with a concentration in Computer Science. With his background in computers, Jim took a position as a computer technician with the Memorex Corporation. Jim married the love of his life, Karen Connors, on March 6, 1982. Together they made their home in Canton, before moving to Berkley, Shortly after his wedding, Jim left Memorex and took a position with the Amdahl Corporation as a computer technician. While living in Berkley, Jim and Karen welcomed both of their children, Jim and Kristen. Jim moved his young family to his current home in Mansfield in 1992. In 2000, after 17 years with the Amdahl Corporation, Jim began working for EMC in the advance system test group, working as a software test engineer, before becoming a software engineer. He was an avid golfer and New England Sports Fan. As a devoted father, Jim provided constant support to his children throughout all of their sports programs. He truly had a zest for life and, along side his wife, Karen, enjoyed traveling and fine dining. Beloved husband of Karen M. Connors. Loving father of James A. Connors of Boston and Kristen E. Connors of Boston. Devoted son of John T. Connors of Brownfield, ME and the late Dolores M. (Green) Connors. Brother of John T. "Jackie" Connors of Sharon and Michael C. Connors of Mansfield. Cherished uncle of Maura Connors, Katherine Connors, Daniel Connors, Kevin Connors, Lauren Connors, and Erin Connors. Also survived by his God Children Gregory Niethold, Julianne Connors and his devoted clan of cousins. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend Jims Life Celebration on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 4-8 PM and Tuesday, April 21, 2015 from 11-11:30 AM in the James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home, 48 Common Street, Walpole. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Marys Church, 330 Pratt Street, Mansfield on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. Cummings, Steven  
Steven O. Cummings, age 58, of Westborough and formerly a long time resident of Foxboro and Mansfield passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 17th, 2015. Loving husband of Alice (Lowe) Cummings. Devoted father of Kevin B. and Stephanie M. Cummings and predeceased by son, Michael A. Cummings. Born in Norwood, he was the son of the late Berton C. Cummings and Elsie B. Cummings Albro. Steves professional career was dedicated to the Fire Service. He retired from the Sharon Fire Department in 2012 after 39 years of service. He started his career in 1973 with the Foxborough Fire Department as a Junior Firefighter. On September 17th, 1978, Steve was hired as a permanent firefighter for the Sharon Fire Department and promoted to Deputy Fire Chief in 2000. During the course of his career, he obtained his Bachelors Degree in Fire Sciences from Salem State College. Steve was the beloved brother of Berton C. Cummings (Wendy) of Taunton, Merlyn Cummings (Dottie) of Easton, Alan Cummings (Patricia) of Foxboro, JoEllen McNamara (Gerald) of Foxboro, Judy Cummings of Foxboro, and Peter Cummings (Eric Allen) of East Providence. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Steves greatest joy in life was his family closely followed by several passions including the collection of fire memorabilia and photography of apparatus. When he took time away from firefighting, he enjoyed traveling and always came back with a good story to share. As a longtime member of the Foxboro cribbage league, he will continue his quest for achieving a 29-hand. Steve will always be remembered for his infectious smile and warm bear hugs. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, April 22 from 4 to 8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the Bethany Congregational Church, 3 Rock Hill Street, Foxborough. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
