Robert J. Burbank

Robert J. Bobby Burbank of Holbrook, formerly of Braintree, passed away June 4, 2013, at the age of 58. He was the beloved husband of Sue Pelrine-Burbank of Holbrook. He was the son of the late Robert and Grace (Duffy) Burbank. Born in Milton, Bobby grew up in Braintree, where he graduated from Braintree High School, Class of 1972. For the past 27 plus years, he had worked as a rigging and crane supervisor for the USS Constitution, at the Charlestown Naval Shipyard. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time in his pool. His greatest joy however was spending time with his wife, family and friends. Bobby was the devoted brother of Deborah Myette and her husband Raymond of Rockland, Michael Burbank of Braintree, Pamela Cushing and her husband William of Braintree, and the late Brett Burbank; dear brother-in-law of Raymond Pelrine and his wife Lisa of Mansfield, Paul Pelrine of Wrentham, James Pelrine of Dighton, Laura Pelrine of Taunton, Jeannette Pelrine-Demers and her husband Hank of Cumberland, R.I. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A Celebration of his Life was held Saturday, June 8, from 12-4 p.m. at Sons of Italy, 161 King Hill Road, Braintree. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to South Shore Hospital, MICU, 55 Fogg Road, South Weymouth, MA 02190. Arrangements are under the directions of the Carrtwright Funeral Home, 69 So.
