Ruth A. Joy Obituary
Ruth A. (Weaver) Joy, of Mansfield, formerly of Randolph, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 30, 2013 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late James R. Joy. Loving mother of James Joy and his wife Denise, of Randolph, Jean Joy of Easton, and Ruth DiPietrantonio and her husband Eric, of Mansfield. Devoted Grandmother of Eric, Gregory and Matthew DiPietrantonio of Mansfield and the late Jennifer and Andrea Joy of Randolph. Born in Boston, Ruth was the loving daughter of the late Frank and Jennie Weaver, and the sister of Marjorie Sloan of Medfield, Barbara Toland of Burlington, Robert Weaver of Alabama, and the late Jean Parks of Virginia and Frank Weaver of Dorchester. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ruth has been employed by Cunningham Park of Milton for the past 30 years. She was an avid Red Sox fan and a dedicated fan of Mansfield Baseball and Football sporting events. Reposed at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph. A Funeral Service was held on Monday, Nov. 4, at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home. Visiting hours were on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2 | 6 p.m. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ruths name to Swim with a Special Child, c/o Roberta Mitsch, 47 Gilbert Road, E. Weymouth, MA 02189.
