Arthur Zolot, 85, of Marblehead, formerly of Chelsea. Entered into rest Friday evening, April 26, 2013 at the North Shore Medical Center-Salem Hospital in Salem. Beloved husband of Lynne (Fishman) Zolot. Born in Boston, son of the late Louis and Mollie (Garfinkle) Zolot. He was a graduate of Chelsea High School. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during World War II and the Korean Conflict as a member of the United State Navy. Mr. Zolot was the owner and founder of Aero-Marine Radio Corp at the Beverly Municipal Airport for over thirty-five years. Arthur was the past president and active member of Temple Sinai in Marblehead and was also a past commodore of the Dolphin Yacht Club in Marblehead. He was a co-founder of Youth to Israel and the first chairman at the youth committee at the JCC. Arthur was responsible for the purchase of an ambulance, through the austices of Magen David Adom, as a gift from the Jewish community of the North Shore to the people of Israel. In addition to his wife, Lynn with whom he shared sixty-one years of marriage, he is survived by his three devoted children, Susan Zolot Silverman and her husband Steven, Neil Zolot and Jill Zolot and her husband Brian Ashe; his loving sister, Elaine Jaffe Finegold and her husband Donald; two cherished grandchildren, Hannah Ashe and Samantha Silverman and two step grandchildren. Services at Temple Sinai, 1 Community Road, Marblehead on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 1:30 PM. Interment of Temple Sinai Cemetery, Danvers. A meal of consolation will be held following the interment at Temple Sinai on Tuesday. Shiva at his late residence through Friday until sundown, with a minyan beginning each evening at 7 PM.
