Lavinia C. (Coraine) Romano, (1916-2013), 96, of Holyoke died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at MT. Marie Health Care Center. She was born in Swampscott, Mass. She was the daughter of the late Florindo and Lucia (DiCamillo) Coraine. She lived in Swampscott until July 1962, moved to Salem in July 1962 and then to South Hadley, Chicopee and Holyoke from 2011 till 2013. Lavinia worked for thirty years at Lerner Shop's in Lynn. She loved to entertain and cook and she was devoted to her family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Lawrence Romano who died in 2004. Lavinia Is survived by her daughter, Sandra Kimball and her husband Charles of South Hadley, her three granddaughters Susan Donohue (John) of Westwood, MA, Kathleen Kadziolka (Russell) of Burlington, CT. and Julie Malloure (Michael) of Novi, MI. Her six great-grandchildren, Jack and Connor Donohue, Kyle and Emma Kadziolka and Katherine and Anna Malloure and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. A funeral mass for Lavinia will be held Monday morning at 11 AM in St. John's The Evangelist Church in Swampscott, with her burial to follow in Swampscott Cemetery all in Swampscott, MA. A calling hour will be held in the church from 10 AM until time of Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude tribute programs, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis TN, 38101- 9908.
