Marianne (Dwyer) Letourneau passed away peacefully at the home of her son, John Lancy on Saturday, January 10, 2015. She was 69 years old. Originally from Marblehead, MA, she had been living with her son in Maryland helping him care for his three children. Marianne was a 1963 graduate of Marblehead High School. She worked with a number of companies while in Massachusetts, including the Hood Sail Co. and was an Administrative Assistant and Systems Administrator for Copy Cop from 1994 to 2005. At the time of her death, she worked for the Frederick County Parks and Recreation Department as an Administrative Coordinator. She maintained responsibility to schedule all fields and facilities used by community teams and groups. She was the devoted mother of son, John P. Lancy of Monrovia, MD and grandmother to Tiara, John W. and Alyssa, whom she helped raise over the last several years. She also leaves behind two daughters, Tammy Cronin and her husband Michael of Swampscott, MA together with two grandchildren William and Andrew and a daughter, Donna Letourneau, of Marblehead, MA. Marianne was the loving sister to two brothers. She was predeceased by her father John Philip Dwyer and her mother Arlene Mae Fritzgerald Dwyer. Marianne enjoyed photography and would be at family gatherings with camera in hand to record the festivities. She enjoyed being a grandparent taking Johns children to various school and sports activities. She especially looked forward to her annual trips back to the Boston area for holiday gatherings with the extended Meade and Dwyer families. Her grandchildren, from her son John, knew her as both a Mom and a Grammy who knew just what to do to make every day a magical moment and to make kids feel loved. For all that she (Marianne) was and all that she added to their lives, the simplest words say it best. Thank you from all their hearts. She was an avid genealogist. She had been researching her extended family tree since the mid 1960s and had cataloged information on over 2,000 family relations. She was especially close to her aunt Marilyn Meade and her husband Jim of Lynn, MA, both of whom predeceased her. She leaves behind many cherished cousins including James Meade, Janice Meade, Robert Meade, Joanne (Meade) Hingston, William Meade, John Philip Meade, Maureen (Meade) Morris. She was also proud to know, and maintain a close relationship with the Chapman family cousins of Swampscott, from her aunt Eleanor (Dwyer) Chapman and her husband Frederick , both of whom predeceased her, including Frederick Chapman who lives in Swampscott, MA and Richard Chapman who predeceased her. She maintained a long distance relationship with the cousins who were children of her uncle Albert Dwyer and his wife Ruth, who predeceased her, including Robert Dwyer of Lynn, MA, Barbara (Dwyer) Machan, of Iowa who predeceased her and Beverly (Dwyer) Lundstedt who lives in California.
